A very nice young couple came Saturday to meet him and fell in love with this sweet boy!

Well, we have Money for a week and a half and this gentlemen is such a wonderful wonderful boy!
We really love him as he is so gentle and sweet,always a good listener,has great table manners and still had no accidents in the house.
He is starting to go up the stairs with minimal help and we know he can do it!
We have an update : Money has been going up the stairs the last 3 days all by himself! He is a pro at it now! We are so so proud of this nice boy!
He is totally part of our pack , loves everyone in his foster family, people and dogs.
He loves sunbathing in our yard and enjoys going for his walks everyday.
He is not a picky eater and never miss his breakfast and dinner. Of course he loves treats too!

Wonderful Money!

Money has been with us for a week and he is such a wonderful boy to foster!
He is very calm and sweet and he had a greyt time today at the Meet and Greet.
He greeted everyone and gave lots of kisses too.
He just loved everyone! Kids, people and was a gentlemen! Always very well behaved, gentle and enjoying every minute of it!
He met many little and big dogs at Petsmart today and was very nice to all breeds.
We have a funny story to tell! When we came in the store as soon as he reached the end of the doormat he stopped and would not move so my husband carried him to where we were suppose to be at the opposite end of the store. He stayed on the dog bed there and then slowly but surely started to walk to greet people and dogs on the shiny floor until he remembered where he was then he walked back to the dog bed where he felt safe. He did that a few times. By the time it was time to go home he walked all the way to the front door at the opposite side of the store! Now that is really impressive! We are so so proud of him, that really is a huge accomplishment!
We don't have carpet in our living room or kitchen and is very comfortable walking on it but such a big space like Petsmart that was a very nice accomplishment!

We only have positive things to say about this sweet boy as he is such a greyt hound and is so easy and wonderful to live with.
He still had no accidents since he got here a week ago, does go down the stairs like a pro but still needs some help going up the stairs but he is doing better every day!

Money is adjusting very nicely to his new life as a family member and in just a few days he has learned so much.
He is such a great goofy boy, always happy to see you and ready to give you tons of kisses.
Last night he slept upstairs in our bedroom along with the resident hounds and slept all night like a baby. He has such great manners! He waited until I got up and let me sleep in a little!
He did not chew his bed during the night and I think that it was because he was with us and not in a different area of the house all night. And has never chewed anything in the house while we were near him. He just rest on a dog bed like the resident hounds.
Now, he goes down that mountain of stairs all by himself. Just need help going up still.
He is very comfortable here and it feels like he is part of our pack already.
He rarely goes in his crate now( I think having no bed in it has something to do with that :-) ) and loves to hang out in the living room kitchen area just like the other hounds. . We only crate him when we have to leave the house and he does great in it.
He loves to be near his foster family and he is a great listener too.
Money is a very easy going boy with a very nice temperament and I think he just gets bored or anxious when left alone in a crate and that is probably why he chewed his blanket or bed in the crate the second night he was here.
He has not had any accidents in the house or crate , does great on walks and walks nicely .

Sweet Money!

Money has been with us since Saturday afternoon and this sweet hound is doing awesome!
He is such a joy to foster!
He has a great disposition always so happy and good table manners too.
He also like the resident hounds and I saw him kiss them a few times! He is so sweet!
We ( people) get plenty of tail wagging and kisses too!
He has not had any accident in the house or his crate and does great on his walks . He met a couple of toddlers, a grandmother, saw kids riding their bike, heard other dogs barking while we went by and he did great! Oh yeah! He also saw a few rabbits and of course was interested but a simple "lets go Money" was enough and we continued our walk.

The first day he arrived he did not like to do the 3 steps we have outside to go to the yard or the linoleum floor but now he does the 3 steps like a pro and walks all over the kitchen floor and living room floor without any difficulties. We are really proud of him!
This morning,we tried the mountain of stairs to go to the bedroom and he does need help with those still. I have to admit they look scary for a hound which has never seen them before! But with time and practice he will get it!
He crates really well and when we come back home he always greets us with lots of kisses.
He is such a loving and affectionate boy!
Now Money is not perfect.... When left alone , we remove the dog bed in his crate as he will chew it but does not do that while we are home with him.

Money has arrived today at his foster home and has been a good boy so far!
He travels very nicely in the car and rested the whole way to his foster home.
He is a very handsome hound! And he is sooooo affectionate too!
I got tons of kisses already! He seems to be a very nice hound!
He met the residents hounds and had fun in the yard already. Tasha ,Win and Lizzy accepted him right away and he seems to like them too!

Sadie got adopted !
A very nice family came to meet her and fell in love with her right away!
I know she is spoiled and loved in her new home!
Sadie is doing great and adjusting well and her new parents just adore her!

This little girl is so much fun! We had never had a dog that smiled so much until we fostered Sadie the smiling queen!

Well, we have Sadie since Saturday afternoon and we have a lot positive things to say about her.
She is very friendly and will smile at you every time you come in the house and a few times on command!
She listen pretty well too, has good table manners , a simple "no Sadie" let her know to leave you while you snack or eat your dinner.
She gets along well with the residents hounds and they like her goofy attitude!
She went for a walk and did great, she saw some bunnies and birds, was very interested in them but a simple "let's go Sadie" and she continued her walk .
She is still learning to do steps but got the going down part.

One negative is that she is a little baby and whines easily but I think she will do less of that as she gets use to her new life as a family member. She does well in her crate when we leave the house for a few hours ( she probably whines for a little while) but when we come back she is resting nicely on her bed in the crate and that is the only time she is crated.

She is so loving ,fun and so friendly! Here are some pictures we took of her and Tasha our Borzoi girl. Enjoy!

Sadie has arrived today!

Our new little foster girl has arrived today and did great in the car on the ride to her foster home.

She is a little black tuxedo girl with white little paws. She looks like she is wearing socks! So so cute and adorable!

I already got a kiss and she hasn't stop wagging her tail at everyone she meets and that is people and hounds. Sadie is a very affectionate little girl! I think she already smiled at me !
She sat a few times already and would probably learn to do it on command for a treat.
Sadie inspected the yard and did her business then met the residents hounds and she seems to like them too. So far we like her very sweet disposition!

Ps. Sadie had a good night sleep last night and with some help went up the stairs to our bedroom to sleep on her dog bed. This morning, we discovered she smiles on command! OMG! Too funny! I asked her to smile for me and came to me and smiled each time!
Well, Sadie isn't perfect! She is whiney at times and needs a patient family . A family where someone's home a lot or work part-time is best for Sadie. We went out for dinner and Sadie did great in her crate for a couple of hours! When we let her out as soon as we got back she couldn't stop smiling at us as she was so happy to see us. What a funny girl!

Lady got adopted!

We are very happy for our little Lady! She has a forever home and her new parent fell in love with her right away, actually before he met her!
I know Lady is going to get lots of attention, toys,walks and lots of love. Just what we wanted for her.
We really miss this fun and happy girl as she was tons of fun to have around.

We wish Lady and her new parent many many years of happiness together!
She is of course welcome anytime to come and visit her friends here at her foster home!

Now that Lady has a good home, we are ready for our next foster who should arrive next week-end! So check our blog regularly :-)

Lady is having a ball!

Lady is a wonderful girl, she is playful and a very lovable hound. We really enjoy having her around!
She is a lot of fun and always a happy hound.
She is part of the pack here and has made herself at home.
She has excellent table manners too and lets you eat in peace and just stays on her dog bed while you eat!

Lady is a little tomboy and can play rough ( she plays like a lab) while outside so we let her run out all her extra energy first. She retrieves the tennis ball and frisbee too. When she is really happy she rolls in the grass just like our Borzoi girl Tasha!
She is sweet and always ready to please you!

We were gone four 4 hours yesterday and Lady did great in her crate while we were gone, we are really proud of her!!!

Lady is such a fun and happy hound.
She already won everyone's heart here, hounds and people.
If you are looking for a well behaved hound with some spunk she is the girl for you!
She has adjust really well to us and the resident hounds right away and would make her new family really happy. She loves to be around people and hounds here and everyone got lots of kisses from this super sweet loving girl.

She has mastered the stairs in 2 days and every night she goes upstairs without any help and sleeps in our bedroom . So far we are really impressed with her sweet and friendly disposition.
She loves soft toys and it is so much fun watching her play with them.

She has not had any accident in the house and a few times has whined to let us know she needs to go outside which is great! We do let all our dogs out frequently during the day, first thing in the morning, after breakfast, lunch time, at 3:30 pm, after dinner and before bed.
I had a doctor appt. today and Lady had to stay in a crate for one hour and 30 min. She did whine for at least 10 or 15 min. according to my son who could here her from the bedroom but
she looked fine not stressed out at all when I walked in the house.

She loves having fun in the yard and loves to be chased by Tasha,Win and Lizzy.
Lady would love a house with a fenced yard as she loves to run, loves laying in the grass, loves to be around people and would give you unconditional love every time!
She enjoys walks too and has discovered that bunnies are everywhere this time a year.
Ps. I just took Lady and Lizzy for a nice walk this afternoon and she did great! She walked nicely on the leash, did her business but we did not see any bunnies this time. I think they come out more at night!

Lady is doing great!

Lady spent her first night with us and slept like a baby. She slept in our bedroom with the resident hounds and waited until we got out of bed to get up. She did need a tiny bit of help going up and down the stairs but got it really quickly! I am sure she won't need help at all really soon.

She ate all her supper and really likes Tasha,Lizzy and Win and they accepted her too.

Oh yeah, I got tons of kisses already and lots of tail wagging! She really is a love bug.
We only had her one day and we enjoy fostering her. She is really well behaved and calm in the house. She is a very happy hound and is adjusting really nicely and quickly. Lady is part of our pack already.

She does get a little excited for a few seconds when just just come in the living room but settles right away, she is just so happy to see you .

We just got Lady today and she was wonderful in the car on the ride home.
She slept and was a really good girl.
She met the resident hounds and inspected the yard. I think she likes it here so far :-)

Wow!!!!! That is all I can say :-)
Rex went up and down the stairs a few times today and of course got a few treats as a reward for being such a fast learner!
At first his front legs would go up the stairs but his back legs were stuck to the ground hahahaha..... It was so cute and funny!
He went down the stairs right away and finally just went up and down minutes ago!
I got some pictures to prove it!

He is a wonderful wonderful boy and we love having him around as he is a great foster.
We also went for a walk and he did great! He stops went you stop and stay close to you too...
I had to go do a few errants and he stayed nicely in his crate, when I cam back he was just resting .

Rex had another great day!

Rex is still doing wonderful here at his foster home.
He is very sweet and affectionate!
Had a great second night sleep in our bedroom along with the residents hounds and waited until I woke up around 7:30 am for his first bathroom break.
He loves being around his foster family and did some whining while I was in the shower( he was in his crate) this morning but did great for 5 hours in his crate when I had to go to work in the afternoon.
I came back and he was laying in his crate and wagged his tail when I came in the house :-)

He is doing great with the house training too! No accident in the house or the crate!
He gets along really well with our Borzoi girl Tasha and our 2 greyhounds Lizzy and Win.
He is a wonderful boy and enjoys lots of hugs, treats and kisses.
He still has great table manners and stays on a dog bed while you eat your dinner.
For a young 2 years old he is very well behaved and we are happy to say he is very obedient.

Rex has been with us for only 24 hours and he is doing great so far!
He slept in our bedroom last night as he really likes to be near his foster family and near the other hounds as well.

He waited until I woke up and got out of bed which was 7:30 am for his first potty break just like the other hounds in the house.
Last night he ate all his super and all his breakfast this morning, he is a good eater not picky at all.
He is learning to do stairs , he does need us to show him how and likes our praises! I am sure it's just a matter of time for him to do them all by himself! :-)
Today was our meet and greet and he did great!
He was very curious and actually was a little vocal when he saw some puppies coming in and wanted to go play with them :-)
He also travels well and just slept in the car going to the meet and greet and did exactly just as well riding home.
Right now he is sound asleep in his crate :-)
He is a really good boy and we really enjoy fostering him!
He has great table manners (lets you eat in peace) and a great temperament!

Introducing our newest foster Rex!

We are please to introduce our newest foster " Rooftop Rex to " but we call him Rex.
He is 2 years old and is a really handsome light brindle boy!
He was a very nice boy in the car and slept all the way to his foster home.
He met the residents hounds , explored the yard and had a drink of water.
Right now he is sleeping not far from me and seems to be relaxed already.
We took we few pictures of Rex since he arrived a couple of hours ago.
We have a Meet and Greet tomorrow at the Westminster Petsmart from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Stop by if you would like to meet him there, he will greet you with lots of tail wagging and a very happy attitude. He is a very friendly guy!

Gus really found his forever home!

We are so so happy for Gus! A very nice family came with their 3 children and their greyhound to meet Gus!

He was a little shy, specially with their 5 years old and he was mostly confused after all 3 houses in a week that is a lot of changes.

But I got some great news....... Gus is adjusting really well with the children, Minnie the greyhound and his new mom and dad too! They love him!
He will have a nice fenced in yard to play and chase Minnie! And there is someone home most of the time! Gus is a very lucky boy!
We really miss you Gus!
I wish him a very happy life with your new family :-)
Gus can come and visit us anytime! :-)

Gus is still available!

Gus was not too happy at his home and is still available! Only stayed one day and 1/2 and was still adjusting to his new surroundings , people etc...
He really is a nice dog! We have absolutely no problems with him at all. He actually is part of our pack as you can see on the pictures :-)
He was so happy to see us and our dogs were very happy to see him too!
Welcome back sweet Gus!

We went for a nice walk and he did great on the leash. He saw someone on a scooter and a little girl getting of the bus, Gus walked by them nicely then he met 4 little Italian Greyhounds who sniffed him and were all around him and he was great with them! :-)
He loves playing in our yard with the resident hounds and he is so much fun.
He ate all his super and feels quite at home here with us.

Gus found his forever home today!

Gus is such a lucky boy! His new family came to meet him today and fell in love with him.
They love his goofy and fun personality and I know he is going to be so spoiled in his new home :-)

His new Mom is home most of the time and that is just what Gus needs :-)
He will have a 2 legged sister and a 4 legged sister to play with and lots of love from his new Mom and Dad.
I am so happy for Gus! I miss him already, his fun personality and all his kisses!
But I found him a great forever and that makes me happy!
Can't wait to see Gus and his new family at the picnic in September :-)

We have Gus since Saturday morning and he is a really nice boy!
Let's talk about all his really good attributes and he has plenty :-)

He has excellent table manners and you can eat your snacks in the living room while you watch TV or your dinner and he will stay nicely on his dog bed.
He will not wake you at 5:00 am but wait until you wake up for his morning potty break and if he has to go he will either whine or bark to let you know of any emergencies. He sleeps in our bedroom on his dog bed along with the resident hounds.
He is completely housebroken ( no accident(s) in the house )
He is cat safe and small animal safe.
He gets along really well with our dogs including our Borzoi girl. He actually greets her with a kiss every morning, I think he loves her. ;-)
He is a loving boy who just wants to be loved and loves lots of attention. ( loves hugs )
He does stairs like a champion!

Well you guessed it nobody is perfect right?
Here are his negatives we notice so far and they are not many only 2.

He does not like to be home alone and will need a home where there is another dog to keep him company when his family is gone. A family who works part-time or from home is even better for Gus!

He gets very excited and will jump on you when you arrive home or when he sees you with his leash. We have been turning our backs to him when he tries to jump up on us, and only acknowledge him once he stops the jumping. He is a fast learner and only wants to please you.

We really enjoy fostering this very sweet boy. He is so much fun too!

Gus is here!

Gus arrived this morning and had a great day!
He is a very sweet boy and has been on his best behavior so far.
He gets along very well with the resident hounds and already invited Tasha to play with him in the yard.
Gus is a very handsome boy and will greet you with tail wagging and kisses :-)
He looks very relaxed already, went for a nice walk, played in the yard, ate all his supper and now is resting comfortably on his dog bed!

Gus needs a home where there is another canine friend to keep him company when the humans are gone. He is cat friendly as well!

He will be at the Meet and Greet tomorrow at the Westminster Petsmart between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.

We will post more about Gus in a few days, but so far we really like this really sweet and loving boy!

Damron is home!!!

Well today a really nice family came to see Damron and you guessed it.... They loved him right away :-)
Of course he was as always on his best behavior! What can I say? He is the cream of the cream :-)

He was really happy to see his new family too , I think he approves of them too :-)

He is going to live with 3 cats and his new Mom and Dad have 2 wonderful children who are so happy to have Damron as a new member of their family.

We miss you already big guy!

Damron is our gentle giant!

Well, we have this so so gentle boy for 2 days now and we are still very impressed with his great temperament.
He is a big boy at 80 pounds and has huge feet ;-)
So far he has not master the stairs and he is cautious about doing my 15 or so steps to go to the bedroom at night but is fine doing 3 steps to the yard and front porch.
He is calm in the house but enjoy running in the yard and having a buddy to play with is always fun!

Damron is cat workable :-))))
He past the cat test! He met my neighbor's cat and was not excited at all just a little curious, so with some work he will be just fine I think in a house with some feline friends.

Introducing our new foster Rico's Damron, nickname Damron arrived yesterday.
He is the sweetest boy !
He met the residents hounds and is a perfect gentleman. Tasha , our Borzoi loves him already so did Lizzy and Win our greyhounds.
Damron gets along really well with people and hounds. He ate his supper and is learning to do stairs too.
He slept in my bedroom for his first night with us and slept like a baby on his dog bed all night.
We will post more about this wonderful boy in a few days but so far we are impressed with his great temperament!

Today is Yahoo Gotcha Day!

A very nice family with their 2 greyhounds came to meet Yahoo today.
The hounds liked each other and the humans fell in love with her and adopted her.

We are really going to miss this little girl, miss all her kisses and the morning snuggles .....
Her new family is home most of the time and she will have 2 greyhounds to keep her company ;-)

We miss you already little Yahoo and wish you a very happy life with your new family .

Little Yahoo fits quite well in her foster home!
She is such a loving little girl who just asks for love, love and more love.... Ok food too!
She loves to be around her family and loves to be near them at night as well. So every night she sleeps upstairs in our bedroom on her dog bed and sleep like an angel!

The perfect home for her would be a family who is home a lot and has another medium size dog or greyhound to keep her company when the humans are gone. A family where someone works from home, retired or works part-time is best for Yahoo.

We really enjoy fostering her because she is such a love bug, loves the attention and only wants to please you.

Her negatives are :
she loves counter surfing and she is learning.... :-) A simple "No" tells her she has to go away from the kitchen and she lets you eat your dinner peacefully.
She loves to jump on people when they just come as she is excited to meet you and petting her and turning your back on her really helps and she only does it for a few seconds.

She had one accident in her crate while I had to go to work and she stayed 5 hours in her crate on Monday. I think she was anxious and nervous that she would stay crated all day. Because she can hold it all night every night and that is way more than 5 hours. But at night she is near us and is relaxed then.

Welcome back Yahoo!

Our little Yahoo came back today ....
She was not as happy as she could be with her family as they had to leave her alone all day. She was crated a lot too and needs a home where her new family could spent more time with her, she is fine with older kids and seems to enjoy the company of another greyhound. She has only been back for a few hours and she is already relaxed taking a nap near the fireplace on her dog bed :-)))

It was so sweet that she recognized me right away when she arrived earlier today and I got tons of kisses already!

Yahoo, our little foster girl went to her forever home today!
A very loving family came to meet her today and you guessed it! They fell in love with her right away!

She will have have lots of toys and treats in her stocking for Christmas! :-)
She will live with 2 two legged brother and a family who will give her lots of love and attention! :-)
We are very happy for Yahoo! :-)

I will really miss her as she is such a sweet little girl full of love and kisses :-)
but I know in my heart she will be happy with her new family!

Yahoo has been with us for only 3 days is doing really well!
The first day at our house she learned to do the stairs and went all the way to our bedroom at bedtime and slept like a baby on her dog bed all night and is really a pro at going up and down the stairs! So every night she sleeps in our bedroom along with the residents hounds.

She is in her crate only when I am either in the shower or out of the house and she is doing really well ! I left her already up to 3 hours today and she was fine and was resting comfortably!
The first day she was in her crate she did cry a little bit but not a long time at all and now does great!

She loves counter surfing and a "No Yahoo" lets her know she has too leave the kitchen and she does listen well and loves to please :-)
She had one little accident in the house but was not her fault . Her foster Dad did not let her out in our yard when he let her out of the crate and she was in it for 3 hours and that was the only time :-)

She loves going on the sofa , sometimes she does not want to share it with the residents hounds( only when she is the first one on it ) and then just bark once at them , we are correcting that by telling her to get of the sofa if she does not want to share it.

We took her for a quick walk as it is really cold , and she did fine on the leash too :-)

She really is a sweet little girl who will greet you every time with tons of kisses and tail wagging!

Introducing Yahoo Yamaha our new little foster girl!

Yahoo Yamaha has arrived!
She did really well in the car and after giving me lots of kisses and lots of tail wagging she rested comfortably all the way home.

She sniffed the yard, met the residents hounds and everyone in her foster family.

She is really really small and very very cute :-)
Yahoo is very affectionate and very curious as of course everything is new to her.
Right now she is resting comfortably on her dog bed:-)

We will keep you updated on her progress.

West went to his forever home today!

Today a very nice couple came to meet West and of course you guessed it they fell in love with him!
He is going to make his new family very happy and he is a very lucky boy himself!

He will live with 3 other greyhounds, a 2 legged brother and a family who will spend lots of time with him. :-)))))

He will have lots of stuffies to play with and a nice fenced in yard to run and play chase.

We really enjoyed this nice boy and we can't wait to see him at Dewey Beach and at the picnic!

Yesterday, we took West with our greyhound to the meet and greet and a couple of families were there to meet him.

He was very well behaved and even laid down a few times on the dog bed we brought for him.
He was so cute and he loved meeting new greys that came by to say Hi!

West is going to be at the Westminster Petsmart this Sunday November 28!
He is such a great dog! We really love him here as he is such a joy, always well behaved, very loving, and very cuddly!
I let him rest on the sofa while I take my shower in the morning and when I come down in the living room. He is still sound a sleep :-)

He has been spending a few hours ( about 2 ) in his crate this week on a daily basis while I did some shopping and he was fine . Also today, I was away for 4 1/2 hours and he was fine in his crate and we were so very proud of him! :-)))))

He is still accident free and he will let you when he has to go ! :-)

A good home for him will be one where there is another greyhound or medium-sized dog to keep him company while the humans are gone, and a family who either works from home, part-time, or is retired .

We have had West for 5 days now and he is doing so well at our house.
We only have wonderful things to say about this gentleman!
We took him to the pet store to go buy some more treats and he did great! He just rested in the car and was friendly to everyone ( 2 0r 4 legged creatures ).
He loves going for walks and met lots of little dogs and of course, you guessed it, he was really sweet to them. He is a happy hound with great manners and gets along well with dogs all sizes and ignored the kitten that my neighbor was holding in his arms. :-)
He will definitely be a Mommy's boy but he loves everyone that comes in the house.

He sleeps all night in our bedroom along with the resident hounds , had no accidents in the house , and is a really wonderful boy !

When I go take my shower, I crate him and 90% of the time he just rest in his crate... sometimes he makes a little funny bark and does another one a few minutes later and that is it! Then he just rests until I come back to the living room.
Yesterday, he stayed for 1 hour and a half while I left the house and did great! I came back and he was resting in his crate. :-)

He loves the sofa and loves to cuddle with his foster family. Yes, he is spoiled :-))))
I let my dogs go on the sofa and it would be so unfair not to let West go on it, so if you would like to meet this great boy and have a soft sofa to share with him or want a buddy to cuddle with while watching a scary movie call Denise!

We got our new foster....... His name is West .
He met the residents hounds , his foster family, checked out the yard and checked out the house.

He is a sweet boy and he is so handsome!

He is also housebroken, cat safe and small dog and kids friendly :-)

Tami has a forever home.

Tami just left with her new family and we are so happy for her as she will be loved and spoiled!
Her new family will continue to work with her and keep her in her crate every day for a little while so she gets comfortable staying home alone a little bit at a time .

She is a very happy girl and I know she will give her new mom and dad lots of love and kisses. She really is so much fun!

We are happy that she will come and visit with us in December for a few days, we can't wait!

And we can't wait to see her at our Meet and Greet in November.

Goodbye Sweet Tami, we miss you already but are really happy for you too!

We are so happy for Tami, a very nice couple came to meet Tami at the meet and greet and fell in love with her.
She will stay with us until Friday and we will enjoy a few more days with this sweet girl :-)

She is doing really really good. Yesterday I left her in her crate and she did not cry at all .
So she will do great in her crate for a couple of hours for sure without whining!

Tami has been with us for 3 days now and she is doing great.
She is a sweet sweet girl who is adapting really well at her foster home and is making great progress staying in her crate without whining while we leave the house or are on a different floor.
She is a smart girl! A simple "No, Tami" let's her know she has to rest and be quiet.
I have been gone for a few hours everyday, 2 legged foster brother only had to tell her "No,Tami" from another floor once until I came back 2 hours later. Every time when I come back she is resting nicely in her crate on her dog bed.

We enjoy fostering her as she is so friendly and loves people. She is very affectionate and will show it with lots of kisses.
We had a few people telling us already how beautiful and friendly she is while we were taking her for a walk.
At night, she sleeps like a baby in our room on her dog bed along with the resident hounds.
Oh Yeah, I almost forgot..... Tami does stairs like a pro, has good table manners and is completely housebroken ....Yes.... no accident at all! She lets us know when she needs to go.
She also enjoy the company of our dogs and now we have 3 dogs with Tami that sit for a treat. :-)

She loves to play in the yard with her stuffies, then needs a long nap on her dog bed!
When chasing the resident hounds in the yard she sometimes gets a little bossy and need supervision in the beginning as she gets really excited at first.

Tami will be at the Westminster Petsmart this Sunday October 31 between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Tami has arrived!

Tami arrived earlier today and she is adjusting nicely so far to her foster home.
She met the resident hounds and the 2 legged resident children, played in the yard, and ate all of her supper :-)
Right now she is sleeping on the floor behind me as I'm typing....
We took her for walk and she did well. Some dogs were barking at us as we walked by and she was fine and ignored them.

Our little Miss Daisy finds her forever home!

Today was a really good day for Miss Daisy! :-)
A very nice couple came to meet her and fell in love with her, so you guessed it!
Daisy got her forever Home!
She will live near the Shenandoah valley area and that is a very pretty countryside where she will enjoy some nice walks.

We are so happy for Daisy!
She is welcome to visit her foster family anytime!

Our little Miss Daisy is such a joy! She listens really well and is so sweet!
Last night she met Beauregard a very nice IG and she was so nice to him! She was happy to see him , wagged her tail and sniffed him.
She also had a first look at Melanie the cat who happened to be outside. She looked at the cat and was interested in her but walked away with me very easily.

Today we had our proper meeting, one on one with Melanie and here is the scoop:
At first she was very interested and after a gentle swipe on Melanie's part, Miss Daisy did not want to be that close to her :-)

Miss Daisy has arrived!

Daisy arrived yesterday afternoon at her foster home!
She adjusted quickly to us and the resident hounds.
Daisy is so so sweet and very affectionate :-D
She wagged her tail yesterday already and seemed relaxed after one hour at our house.
She is fantastic with stairs! She did about 12 stairs up and down like a pro!
She had a great nights sleep in our bedroom and slept on her dog bed.
Today she had a full breakfast which she gobbled up really fast :-D and later she went to play outside in the yard with the resident hounds.
We took her for a walk and she did great !
So far she scores a perfect ten!

Clyde gotcha day!

Today is Clyde's Gotcha day!
His family came to pick him up. He will live with another greyhound; a beautiful 10 year old brindle greyhound!
It has been a joy to have Clyde with us for 7 weeks, he really is a wonderful dog!
He is welcome to come to our house and visit us anytime!
We miss you already Clyde!

A very nice family came to meet Clyde today and they fell in love with him right away!
He will stay with us until Thursday which gives me some time to say goodbye to my sweet foster, Clyde. I will really miss him but I know he is going to a very good home and we are very happy for him!

As you can see he is a really sweet boy.... he is playful but is also well mannered and he listens well too.

We really love him here and can't believe he has not been adopted yet!

Today we took some pictures of the pooches waiting patiently for their treats!
We also made a couple of video of Clyde playing in the yard but the server has some difficulties and will publish them hopefully tomorrow.
He is such a playful and affectionate hound!
A couple of nights ago he met 4 Italian Greyhounds and he behaved really well!
We are really proud of him :-)

Clyde is doing really great and wishes to go to his forever home where he can continue to get lots of love, treats and a nice bed to sleep on for the 4th of July.

He is such a nice dog and he is so much fun! He loves people and gets along really well with our 3 dogs; he even shares the toys with them too!
He does so well on the leash that we don't use the harness anymore, just his collar!

Happy-go-lucky Clyde!

We only have great things to say about Clyde...
He is such a smart dog! He is doing really well with his " wait " command. This is a good command to know. Before our walk, he waits until I say "OK " to start going...
He does really well on the walks. He does not pull or bark even if he sees another dog, and that is great!
People in the neighborhood really like him and say that he is so beautiful and so friendly! They are right, he is all that! He has beautiful light brown eyes!

Clyde is doing amazingly well at learning sharing his toys! We took some nice pictures of him playing with them :-)

He pretty much is out of the crate all day and is doing well. At night and when we are gone are the only times he is in his crate. He sleeps well all night and does well in it during the day as well...
Tonight he met an Italian greyhound and the meeting was nice and friendly.
We are very proud of him! He is a smart and happy hound who would adjust easily to his forever home :-)

Clyde continues to learn the ropes to be a great a family member.
He is super affectionate and loves everybody....
He has good table manners! A simple "no" keeps him away from the food on the counter and will lay next to you while you eat your meal and not bother you at all.

Today I let him be out his crate for less than a half an hour without supervision while I took a shower and he was fine! Actually all he did was taking a nap..... :-)

He wakes up between 5:30 and 6:00 am most days but today he slept until 6:30 am .
He enjoys a good run with our dogs in the yard and gets along really well with all 3.

He is fine doing 3 stairs to go outside from our deck....
We are teaching him a new command this week " wait" and will keep you posted on his progress.

He likes to sleep in his crate, other dog beds in the living or even the bare floor.

Clyde meets the neighborhood horse!

Today was such a nice day that we decided to take Clyde for a walk and see how he behaves on a leash.
We put a harness on him because he has a strong prey drive, just in case we saw a few bunnies or cats on our walk. He did really well! He leans on you while you walk and also when you stop.
We did not meet any dogs; just a few people cutting their lawn and he just walked by them.
He heard a dog barking at us from a window while we walked by and Clyde was just fine.

Then we decided to introduce him to Vincent, our neighborhood horse. He was not too sure at first and ended up nose to nose with the horse.

He is such a love bug! He will put his head on your lap while you are on the sofa and his head on your chest if you are laying down .... He loves everybody, we have 2 college kids and 3 other dogs and Clyde loves the kids and the resident hounds!
One more thing! He has not had any accident(s) in the house or his crate so far! He will cry or stand by the door if he needs to go....

He is a joy to have at our house and we are so happy we are able to foster this happy boy!

Clyde really enjoys being retired!
He is a fun loving hound who is very happy and will follow you everywhere you go.
Yesterday he cried in his crate when I had to go to work for a few hours, but there wasn't a sound at bed time!
Today was a really good day too, Clyde was relaxed in his crate while I took a shower and ran a few errands.
It is amazing to see how fast he is adjusting and how relaxed he is already!
This morning he was sleeping next to me while I was on the computer and he was snoring!

Clyde has arrived!

Clyde ( Dr Clyde the man ) has arrived!
He is really adjusting quiet well to his foster home and he has charmed the girls already!
Tasha really likes him and so does Lizzy and Win.
It has not been 24 hours since his arrival and we got lots of tail wagging and even a lick!
He is obedient when you tell him "NO" when he is counter surfing, and he listens right away.
After a few minutes of crying in his crate last night, he settled and had a good night sleep--so did we.
He does have a high prey drive! In the yard, he does not miss any bunnies that he can see! He will chase them!

We leave his crate open when we are home and he goes in it when he is ready for his nap.
He is a sweetheart and affectionate !

Willie went to his forever home!

Tonight a very nice family came to meet Willie and fell in love with him right away!

Willie is doing really well!

It has only been 3 days that Willie has been with us and he is adjusting well to his new role as a family member!
Yesterday he met some little dogs and did really good!
Four Italian greyhounds walked across the street to meet him and Willie let them greet him.
He wagged his tail and sniffed them.... I was really proud of him! Their owner complimented him on his nice and calm attitude!

He is also doing better on his table manner! He still needs to be reminded and a "No" lets him know that he has to leave the kitchen's counter area.

He does really well on the leash and tonight I was again really proud of him when a little dog was barking at us while being walked on an retractable leash and Willie did not care and just stood there ready to continue our evening walk.

Well it is time for Willie to go to bed now!

Let me introduce you to our new foster dog "Willie".....
He is a handsome greyhound with a sweet puppy face! He is adorable!
He has not even been here 24 hours and he is charming the hounds and people in our house.
He is still adjusting but is doing quite well so far. I took him on a couple of walks in our neighborhood and the neighborhood horses came to greet him and he was very well behaved. He is also doing well on the leash.
One thing we discovered is that he loves food! He is a counter surfer! We are teaching him some table manners and he is learning.
He has not had any accidents in the house yet!
Willie had a good nights sleep in his crate .... He is still a puppy at heart and he is very curious about his surroundings. He is very affectionate and loving too!

Today was a really good day for Muffin, 2 very nice ladies and a very sweet little girl came to meet Muffin at Petsmart and really liked her!
